President
As President of Treliant Risk Advisors, Jerry Buckley plays a lead role in providing strategic advice to financial services companies and investors seeking to enter the financial services industry. His extensive experience with financial services regulators informs his advice regarding business planning, strategic acquisitions and product development. Jerry is also often called upon to assist companies with regulatory challenges, including governmental investigations and enforcement proceedings. He can assemble a team of professionals to execute a business plan or deal with a regulatory or public relations crisis.
Jerry is a well-regarded pioneer in developing modern financial services regulations. Early in his career, he served as Minority Staff Director of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee, drafting legislation regulating banks and holding companies, securities firms and other financial industry participants. Jerry has played a leadership role in driving adoption of electronic delivery of financial services.
Jerry holds a J.D. from University of Virginia and an A.B. from Fairfield University. He is a partner and co-chairman of BuckleySandler LLP, one of the leading financial services law firms in the United States.
